MCP · JOB SEEKER

Job seeker connector

Once connected, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to read your WPORT resumes, search public jobs, or list the connections you've authorized. Every tool is read-only — it can look, but not change anything.

Endpoint

https://mcp.wport.me/personal

Paste this URL and leave other fields empty. For per-platform setup paths see connector setup.

Authorization

Standard OAuth (authorization code + PKCE) — WPORT never asks you to generate a key:

  • Press connect on the platform → you're sent to wport.me
  • If you're not signed in, you go through /auth first
  • The consent page lists each capability being granted; you press Approve yourself
  • It returns automatically and the connector shows as connected

The 8 tools

ToolWhat it doesScope
auth_statusConnection status: whether it's authorized, which connector, and which scopes were granted—
personal_whoamiConfirm which job seeker account is connected (basic account identity, no resume content)personal.identity.read
resumes_listYour resume listpersonal.resumes.read
resumes_viewFull content of a single resumepersonal.resumes.read
resumes_exportExport all resumes at oncepersonal.resumes.read
jobs_searchSearch public jobs—
jobs_viewView a single public job—
sessions_listList of connections you've authorizedpersonal.sessions.read

jobs_search and jobs_view read public job data: they need no scope and carry no identity upstream.

Scopes

scopes
personal.identity.read personal.resumes.read personal.sessions.read offline_access

This set is frozen into the grant the moment you press Approve. If WPORT adds tools later, existing connections do not gain the new scopes — you must remove the connector and reconnect.

Try asking

prompt
How many resumes do I have on WPORT, and what are they called?
Summarize the work experience in my first resume as three bullets.
Search for backend engineer jobs in Taipei and compare them against my resume.

Revoking access

Pressing Disconnect on the platform does not revoke anything — the grant on WPORT stays alive. Actual revocation goes through the CLI; see the FAQ in connector setup.

sessions_list lets you inspect your authorized connections from chat, but all tools in this round are read-only — revocation itself is CLI-only.

What it can't do

  • Edit or create resumes
  • Submit job applications
  • Revoke your sign-in sessions

These write operations are CLI-only for now — see job seeker commands.
