WPORT Career Port Founded in 2023
The name “Cuai-Wa” comes from the Taiwanese pronunciation of “find me,” combined with a frog image. Our three founders, each with over 20 years of experience in the recruitment industry, saw clear gaps in recruitment digitalization. In particular, international students often need extra documentation, and collecting data and preparing government-required PDFs takes significant time. That is why we built a job platform designed specifically for international students seeking work in Taiwan. Later, as AI went mainstream, and since we are a software company at heart, an AI training business grew out of it too.

CEO
Over a decade in the software industry, entering the startup world through AppWorks' summer matching programme and spending more than eight years at Patisco. He thrives on cold outreach and a challenge; he once flew to Europe to visit over 13 bicycle retailers in person. At WPORT his goal is to connect Taiwan with the world and help international talent find work here more easily. He graduated in education and assumed he would never stand at a lectern again. Then the AI wave arrived, demand for training exploded, and he went straight back to his courses, leading n8n automation and GA MCP digital-marketing workshops and speaking on digital transformation at NCCU, NTNU and Microsoft × Synnex. He now also mentors at Kainan University and Hsing Wu University. Our first intern cohort came from one of those Kainan classes, where he spotted two great students and threw the Master Ball immediately (ahem).

From Vietnam, studying at Kainan University. Part of WPORT's first 2026 internship cohort. Shy he may be, but he takes learning seriously. Back in that Kainan class, Eric noticed this good-looking kid was moving through the material far too fast. The funny part: whenever the person next to him got stuck, Finn would put his headphones on and decline the rescue mission. Once he joined the team everyone discovered just how shy he is, which is how he ended up nicknamed the one whose job is to look good (kidding).

From Vietnam, studying at Kainan University. Part of WPORT's first 2026 internship cohort, the perfect complement to the person next to her: warm and outgoing. Whether it is talking to users or doing field research, she has closed the distance between us and overseas students enormously. One of the team's ray-of-sunshine types. She may look like the one with an image to protect, but it is actually the person next to her who really has one.
Core Values
We believe people are what makes a team grow, so we put real weight on going digital and on personal development, and we have no patience for box-ticking. Digitising the clock-in, actively sending colleagues to courses and events: these are things we genuinely care about.
MVP of the Week
Every week the team votes for one outstanding colleague, who gets to leave an hour early, and that hour can be traded with someone else, so it has quietly become a kind of internal currency.

Regular one-on-ones to hear what people think of the team, what is frustrating them, what they are hoping for. David mentioned he wanted to teach, and over the past two years the teaching opportunities have gone to him. Where someone's goals overlap with the company's, we back them fully.
